MODULES "TUNGUS" FOR FIRE PROTECTION OF ARMAMENTS OBJECTS
The Ministry of Defense of Russia recommended the MPP TUNGUS for fire protection of armaments objects, in particular, storages with armaments.
The development of automatic device to provide the fire protection of stacks of special articles in storages has been completed and recommended for serial production.
The system of powder fire extinguishing has been allowed to replace the system of gas fire extinguishing at hi-tech objects of the Ministry of Defense.
The MPP TUNGUS was used to perform fire protection of five objects of the Ministry of Defense in 2008.
Owing to independency, reliability and fast-action it takes the MPP TUNGUS not more than 20 sec to smother the arising fire sites.
They supply fire extinguishing powder in any direction, therefore they extinguish objects of any shape, in particular, stacks of armaments cases in storages. So, the possibility of protecting objects of any purpose and shape from electric switchboards in volume less than 1m3 to arms storages of hundreds of cubic meters in volume at a height up to 16m can be achieved by using the fire extinguishing system of the necessary amount and the range of the MPP TUNGUS.
The production of the MPP TUNGUS is carried out at production facilities of Federal State Unitary Enterprise Federal Research & Production Center ALTAI (FSUE FR & PC ALTAI) of Defense Industry. High-skilled specialists of the Quality Control Department provide the high quality of articles by functional inspection of modules at all stages of production.
The articles are safe, can be transported by any kind of transport. The ecological safety of modules has been certified by the Hygienic Regulations.
The MPP TUNGUS were highly appreciated by the Chiefs of Fire Departments of Russia, China, Mongolia, India, Finland, Moldova, Estonia, Ukraine during demonstration tests by using the MPP TUNGUS to extinguish model fire sites, and the scientists of USA, Bulgaria, France, and Italy at the Conference High Energy Materials in Arcachon (France).
SELF-CONTAINED SYSTEMS OF FIRE EXTINGUISHING BASED ON THE MPP TUNGUS
The MPP TUNGUS is the main element of constructing automatic or self-contained systems of powder fire extinguishing. Can be started into operation from regular (standard) devices of fire automatics made in Russia and abroad.
Thermal, smoke, optic and combined (heat+smoke) detectors can be used as fire alarms.
As a set with the signaling/starting devices USP-101, PA-5, USPAA-1 (made in Russia) responding to heat or the optic-detecting devices PULSAR, the MPP TUNGUS has the function of self-functioning (independent). No power supply units are required for self-contained systems based on USP-101 and PA-5 as the signaling/starting device is a source of starting pulse.
The self-contained fire extinguishing setup (AUPT) intended for independent detection and smothering fires in closed volumes at early stages of ignition has been developed.
The setup consists of one (or a few in loop) device USP-101 and the MPP TUNGUS. The various power MPP TUNGUS can be used depending on the volume to be protected.
The self-contained signaling/starting device USP-101 responds to thermal radiation at a temperature build up above critical (Tcr=45C, 72C, 93C, 110C). USP-101 operates and sends powerful pulse of current to the group of modules connected to the starting loop. One device USP-101 as sensor controls the surface area up to 25m2 and as a starting device can put into operation up to 8 items of the MPP TUNGUS at a time, the length of connecting wires with cross-section 0.5m2 being up to 50m.
The whole process from the moment of detecting fire until its extinguishing takes less than 1min. If necessary, additional device of manual start can be set and the signal about operating the setup can be sent to a sound alarm or to the central board of fire protection of the object.
The setup can be portable or made on a separate metal framework.
The setup is recommended for fire protection of armaments objects.
CONCEPTION DEVELOPMENT OF PULSE POWDER FIRE EXTINGUISHING
Fire is a widespread natural calamity, causing huge damage and killing thousands of human lives. More than 15,000 people have been lost in fires and damages to property more than 5 billion rubles have been caused in our country for a year. Apart from it, fires cause huge harm to the environment. That's why, development and improvement of the means preventing objects of industry public amenities, municipal services and transport from fire are actual problem.
Close Joint Stock Company ZAO ISTOCHNIK PLUS offers a wide range of the powder fire extinguishing modules TUNGUS with a weight of fire extinguishing powder of 0.5 to 22kg of ceiling-, wall- and ground-based execution.
